Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature. We manage California's water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.

Must possess a valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for executing and imparting project management practices within the division along with our partner organizations and clients. The candidate should be well versed in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) principles along with a good understanding of DWR Project Initiation and Management as described in WREM 65a and 72. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to run day-to-day project management duties, which will require the incumbent to work cooperatively with others, maintain regular and consistent attendance, and exercise good judgment. A strong, self-driven personality with the ability to get things done will fit well in the section. Familiarity with MS Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform applications.
