Sr Engineer Software Engineering wanted by Anywhere Real Estate Operations, LLC, Madison, NJ.
Responsible for modernizing enterprise platform and products in alignment with Company's Product Engineering strategy. Lead significant projects through product implementation and platform engineering, Agile/DevOps, and CI/CD best practices. Share responsibility for transforming monolithic applications using contemporary architectural patterns such as Microservices, Containers, Headless, and Serverless architectures. More specifically:
Software and Code Development including: Support ongoing development of new and existing projects and applications; Code and modify user-facing and backend features for web/microservice applications;
Troubleshoot code and implementation issues during performance testing cycles; Remediate security flaws identified in code; Build modern REST APIs; and Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Project Management including: Participate in all Agile ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives; Conduct code reviews with peers and managers to ensure adherence to original vision as described in the user story, standard resource libraries and architecture patterns; and Provide support to the product manager in managing the product backlog by assigning points to backlog items for precise velocity estimation and establishing clear sprint goals.
Technological Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration including: Collaborate with product partners and Solution Architecture team to translate business requirements into digital solutions and develop product/ platform vision and roadmaps; Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus; Work with both Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) employees and outsourced engineering resources to achieve desired outcomes and successful project results; and Present innovations and technical flows to engineering directors, architects and other senior leaders.
Continuous Learning and Process Enhancement, including: Establish and enforce standard operating procedures and project guidelines; and Monitor new emerging technologies, assessing their relevance, and integrate them into existing company infrastructure where appropriate.
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation that includes the required experience and skills. Experience must include:
5 years of development experience with C#, Angular, and JavaScript;
5 years of experience with designing and developing scalable IIS web applications and microservices;
5 years of full stack development experience, including front-end and back-end SQL Server technologies;
5 years of experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure, including WebApps and Data Storage in cloud;
5 years of experience with event driven architecture using cloud resources including Event Grid, Service Bus and Storage Containers;
5 years of experience with managing onshore and offshore cross functional teams; and
5 years of experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD DevOps practices, which experience must include
2 years of experience with YAML.
JOB LOCATION: Company's HQ is located in Madison, NJ. Candidate may work from home office located anywhere within the U.S.
Compensation Range:
$180,000 - 185,000 per year. At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
