Senior Environmental Scientist / Engineer (Oil & Gas Remediation) Durango, Colorado | Relocation support available

I’m currently supporting a boutique environmental consulting firm with an established remediation practice supporting the energy sector across the Southern US.

Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are looking to add a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer (approximately 6 to 12 years’ experience) to their team in Durango, Colorado .

This role focuses on soil and groundwater remediation projects tied to oil and gas operations , working within a fast paced consulting environment across the Four Corners region.

The Role • Manage soil and groundwater remediation projects primarily for oil and gas clients • Support spill response and corrective action work following releases • Coordinate field teams and provide technical guidance on project execution • Manage scopes of work, project budgets, and timelines • Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a high pace consulting environment

Projects range from complex groundwater remediation sites to high volume spill response work , so strong project management and prioritisation skills are important.

Ideal Background • 6 to 12 years of environmental consulting experience • Strong background in soil and groundwater remediation • Experience supporting oil and gas remediation or spill response projects • Experience working within New Mexico oil and gas regulatory frameworks is essential • Experience with Colorado regulations is a major plus • Strong technical and project management capabilities

PG or PE licenses are welcome but not required .
