Summary: Lead the definition, design, and execution of system verification activities on instrument projects. Determine strategy for testing product requirements, including how requirements will be tested, sample size, resource and material needs. Develop and write system verification and validation test methods to evaluate product requirements. Act as a liaison between the Program Core Team and Systems Validation, and Reliability team. Represent the department on collaborative projects by elevating customers need and product quality. Exercise independent judgment and apply solution thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting. Conduct representative sample prep and flow cytometry experiments to test products. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer workflows, scientific advancements in flow cytometry, and the competitive landscape. Mentor and support more junior members in understanding systems verification best practices. Hybrid in-office/remote position.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and three (3) years of experience, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Flow cytometer instrument platforms, applications and software, and assay panel development (FACSDiva, FACSChorus or FACSuite); product development and design control; running and troubleshooting complex optical and mechanical instrumentation; human blood or blood products; sample prep and experiment design for multi-parameter flow cytometry applications; regulated medical device industry and regulatory submissions; derive pass/fail criteria from product requirements; and develop system level test methods to evaluate product requirements.
Salary offered for the position is: $143,166.00 - $175,900.00/year.
