Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer Appians Information Security department is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer, also known as Senior IT Engineer. This role is hands-on and involves various responsibilities, including collaborating with infrastructure technology teams and managing network infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with diverse technologies to meet business needs. The position is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia, and requires in-office presence five days a week to promote our collaborative culture. Responsibilities include planning and leading LAN, WAN, network security, and systems projects across multiple platforms, managing wireless infrastructure, implementing and maintaining security protocols like RADIUS, LDAP, and AAA systems, leveraging cloud and physical infrastructure, automating deployment with Infrastructure as Code tools, troubleshooting enterprise systems, supporting audits, and collaborating on network design. Requirements include a BS in Computer Science or related field, strong networking and security knowledge, scripting skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform), experience with network monitoring tools, and a proactive mindset.
