Must have strong understanding of working with global and distributed teams, ability to work under pressure and managing demands with competing priorities.
Key Technical skills Wintel, Virtualization, Storage, Private and Public Cloud, Network, Performance optimization, Architecture.
Should be able to clearly communicate and must have excellent thought clarity to manage internal and cross functional interactions
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Design and Architecture:
o Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure infrastructure solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
o Collaborate with internal IT groups (e.g., network, security, operations, DevOps, etc.) to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
o Evaluate and select appropriate infrastructure technologies and platforms (cloud, on-premise, hybrid) to ensure solutions are cost-effective and scalable.
2. Collaboration with IT Groups:
o Partner with various internal IT groups to define technical requirements, solve tactical challenges, and optimize existing infrastructure systems.
o Serve as the primary technical liaison between infrastructure teams, development teams, and operations.
o Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions across the organization.
3. Tactical Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
o Tackle complex tactical issues related to system performance, reliability, and integration across infrastructure layers.
o Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related incidents, working closely with teams to address root causes and implement long-term fixes.
o Lead efforts to optimize infrastructure performance and resolve operational challenges quickly to minimize downtime and impact.
4. Internal IT Projects and Infrastructure Enhancement:
o Drive internal IT projects aimed at enhancing the infrastructure environment, such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, network optimizations, and security improvements.
o Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet performance, security, and budgetary goals.
o Proactively identify opportunities to enhance infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
5. Technology Evaluation and Innovation:
o Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and infrastructure best practices to optimize internal IT environments.
o Introduce innovative approaches to streamline infrastructure operations and solve recurring technical challenges.
o Stay updated on trends in cloud computing, virtualization, networking, and security to recommend improvements.
6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
o Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, implementation processes, and operational procedures.
o Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical team members by sharing best practices, architectural patterns, and knowledge from past projects.
o Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and guidelines for cross-functional teams.
7. Continuous Improvement:
o Regularly assess and refine infrastructure performance and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement.
o Monitor infrastructure metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements based on operational data.
o Promote the adoption of automation and DevOps practices to improve system efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

o Timeliness of Solution Delivery: Percentage of infrastructure solutions delivered on schedule as per project timelines.
o Project Completion Rate: Percentage of infrastructure-related projects completed successfully without major delays or budget overruns.

o Solution Efficiency: Measure the performance, scalability, and reliability of delivered infrastructure solutions (e.g., system uptime, resource utilization).
o Adherence to Best Practices: Percentage of infrastructure solutions that adhere to internal standards, industry best practices, and security policies.
3. Issue Resolution and Tactical Problem Solving:
o Complex Issue Resolution: Average time taken to resolve high-priority, complex technical issues across infrastructure layers.
o Incident Response Effectiveness: Percentage of infrastructure incidents resolved within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
4. Collaboration with IT Groups:
o Cross-Team Collaboration Success: Measure the effectiveness of collaboration with various IT groups (e.g., network, security, development, operations) to deliver successful infrastructure solutions.
o Stakeholder Feedback: Regular feedback from IT teams on the clarity of communication, alignment of solutions, and overall technical support.
5. Innovation and Infrastructure Enhancement:
o Innovation Index: Number of new technologies, tools, or approaches introduced to improve infrastructure performance or resolve technical challenges.
o Internal IT Project Impact: Measure the success of internal IT projects aimed at infrastructure enhancement (e.g., system upgrades, cloud migrations, optimization initiatives).
6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
o Documentation Completeness: Percentage of delivered solutions with up-to-date and thorough technical documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, operational manuals).
o Knowledge Sharing Frequency: Number of knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, or presentations conducted to improve team and organizational knowledge.
7. Operational Efficiency and Cost Optimization:
o Cost Reduction through Optimization: Measure cost savings achieved through infrastructure optimizations (e.g., resource consolidation, cloud cost reductions, performance tuning).
o System Uptime/Availability: Percentage of system uptime and availability post-deployment and during ongoing operations.
