Overview: Orrick is excited to invite applications for the position of Senior IT Quality Assurance Engineer. This is a hybrid role based in our offices located in Wheeling, WV, Austin, and Houston. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the IT PMO Manager and other team members to design and execute comprehensive tests that identify software defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements. Lead the QA team in the development and implementation of best practices for software testing and test automation frameworks. Guide the team in maintaining and updating testing procedures and standards effectively. Review and analyze business processes to identify optimization strategies. Evaluate and improve testing tools and processes through careful recommendations. Mentor junior QA engineers and team members, fostering their professional growth. Design and execute manual and automated test plans that align with software requirements. Ensure thorough review of system specifications to guarantee complete test coverage. Perform various types of testing, such as functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. Analyze test outcomes, document defects, and communicate findings efficiently to the development team. Collaborate closely with developers to address quality issues and formulate effective test strategies. Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to optimize efficiency. Manage knowledge systems and prioritize testing initiatives based on business requirements. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and cultivate vital business relationships for the team's success. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of experience in manual and automated testing. Strong knowledge of testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Visual Studio, and JetBrains. Proficiency in scripting languages, including C#, Java, or Python. Experience with various testing methodologies and SDLC models, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is preferred. Experience with enterprise, web, desktop, mobile, and API testing. Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $133,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, mental well-being programs, family care benefits, disability coverage, parental leave, HSA contributions, flexible spending, and a 401K plan.
