Description: Position Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Department: Engineering Reports to: Director of Engineering Position Summary: The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost of manufacturing. They will support new product launches, along with existing products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. FLSA Status: Exempt Duties and Responsibilities: ? Establish, troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes. ? Recommend improvements that will result in cost reductions. ? Work with cross-functional teams to help reach cost and launch goals. ? Collaborate with Quality to establish process sheets and control plans. ? Recommend new technologies to improve production rates. ? Work with suppliers to review design for manufacturability. ? Lead development of tooling, fixtures, and gauging to support manufacturing processes. ? Utilizing 8D analysis, conduct root cause failure analysis and corrective action. ? Program various CNC machines, to support initial manufacturing concepts as well as for process improvements. Education, Skills and Experience: ? Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, and 10+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous work experience in product design is preferred. ? Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, CAD/CAM, and PDM software, as well as Microsoft Office. ? Knowledge of material sciences, GD&T, and lean manufacturing methodologies. ? Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, executing according to deadlines. ? Proven ability to accurately document control plans, engineering change orders (ECOs), and adhere to established drafting standards and practices. ? Advanced problem solving and analytical thinking skills required. Working Conditions: ? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks. ? Ability to reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist. ? Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. ? Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required. Requirements:
