Overview Rapiscan Systems designs, manufactures, and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles, and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs, and contraband. Our security devices are found in airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with process control plans, quality assurance plans, and procedures. Provide daily support for processes, conduct criticality analysis, and monitor key parameters. Analyze manufacturing and testing processes to focus on quality and efficiency. Introduce methods to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and eliminate waste. Identify tooling and machinery needs to minimize operator dependence. Upgrade systems with new technology. Optimize facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations. Resolve production issues promptly. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Ensure manufacturing procedures comply with safety and environmental standards. Uphold company values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. Report quality problems or defects for corrective action. Perform duties as assigned to meet business needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical or mechanical. 8-10 years of electro-mechanical assembly process development and manufacturing experience. At least 5 years of LEAN manufacturing experience, with strong facilitation skills. Experience with automation or semi-automated processes. Knowledge of facility and process design/layout.
