The HVAC Team is engaged in the following:

• Design and Construction Activities
• Project Delivery Methods - Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.
• Facility Types Power Generation buildings, Substations, Oil & Gas structures and Energy Storage buildings.
• Systems HVAC and Plumbing.
• Type of Areas Power Generation Hall, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Studies
• Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations
• Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance
• Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies

The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions for Black & Veatchs three market sectors- Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In this role, you will be engaged with exciting projects across the globe. From small community improvements to grand-scale Mega Projects, you will be Building a World of Difference through infrastructure growth and development while learning and focusing on your own individual development. Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the following areas:
• NFPA standards
• Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing
• Technical Submittal reviewing process
• Bid reviewing process
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Bluebeam Revu
• LEED AP certified professional experienced in obtaining LEEDs certification for industrial buildings
• Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers
• International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes
• ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards
• ASPE design handbooks
• SMACNA Standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a bachelors degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Minimum of eight years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License
