Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid) Industry: MEP Engineering / Mission-Critical Facilities Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems for both new construction and renovation projects—primarily in mission-critical environments. You will work on multi-discipline projects, collaborating closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to deliver innovative, code-compliant, and constructable designs. This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and in the office. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate directly with clients to understand project goals, constraints, and success criteria. Develop and evaluate design solutions, providing insight into tradeoffs and helping guide decision-making. Lead the development of mechanical system design documents, including equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, and energy modeling. Coordinate efforts across all engineering disciplines to ensure a fully integrated and accurate design. Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations and maintaining clear communication throughout the design process. Support construction activities by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site inspections as the Owner’s representative. Mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
Qualifications:
7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the MEP industry. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s a plus). Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred. Proficiency with Revit preferred; experience with additional design software a plus. Proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and manage complex projects. Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
