The Post Services team is pivotal in strategizing, implementing, and managing our custom-built facilities and vendor partnerships. We provide filmmakers with access to cutting-edge technology, innovative workflows, and top-tier services, ensuring that every production meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. We are now expanding our capabilities to support Live Editorial, further enhancing our ability to deliver dynamic and engaging live content. The Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Media Engineer to join our Live Production Editorial Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media engineering, with a focus on remote editorial production environments. This role requires a deep understanding of remote PCoIP technologies, live streaming, and editorial workflows. The Senior Media Engineer will be critical in ensuring the seamless execution of live editorial workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing best-in-class support. You should excel under pressure, possess exceptional client service skills, be a quick learner, and adapt swiftly to changing needs. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Collaborate closely with Artists and Editors. Offer support for local and remote Editorial teams. Support collaboration tools like Colorfront Streaming, Evercast, and Clearview Flex. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time during live productions to minimize disruptions. Escalate issues to Management, Engineering Services, and Infrastructure teams as needed. Conduct training sessions on new technology deployments. Document quality standards, system anomalies, operational procedures, and project work. Work closely with internal engineering teams, providing concise issue reporting and Production context to meet the studio's creative and technical needs. Collaborate with production leadership to ensure technology solutions support creative content creation and efficiency goals. Lead and mentor junior technicians within the team. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in facility engineering and/or technology roles within Animation, Post Production, or VFX Studios. Deep understanding of IP networking, Network storage, and Workstation architectures. Strong Knowledge of video and audio transport protocols such as Baseband SDI, HDMI, and AES3 Strong knowledge of IP streaming protocols such as ST2110, NDI and AES67 Experience with Virtual Machine configuration. Knowledge and experience on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Extensive knowledge of content creation and post-production workflows Experience with post-production systems integration. High proficiency with the following software applications:Avid Media ComposerAvid NexisAdobe Premiere ProBlack Magic ResolveProToolsTeradiciPCoiPEvercastAspera Connect Experience in communicating with post-production end-user stakeholder teams. Strong communication skills with proven ability to socialize, explain, and promote new and complex technology, tools, and workflows Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live events. Occasional travel may be required for remote productions or training. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
