Job Posting The client operates within a controlled goods program environment and must comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Essential Job Functions : Lead and coordinate the maintenance of complex network hardware and systems; investigate and resolve significant network and hardware issues; analyze, isolate, and resolve errors; assess current and future systems. Provide technical support and guidance on network design issues. Resolve complex problems and mentor less experienced personnel. Design testing routines or scripts; conduct complex testing to meet requirements. Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN, WLAN, or DDI Systems according to specifications. Analyze network documentation and communicate operational status to management. Determine methods for new data technologies to ensure optimal performance; assess customer needs to determine approach. Provide consultation, support, and guidance to organizations and clients; develop and conduct training as needed. Participate in project discussions and decisions at the executive level. Manage client expectations, ensuring satisfaction; participate in proposal efforts and sales calls to align products with client specifications. Prepare proposal documentation; recommend network investments based on assessments of performance, stability, and management issues. Perform cost analyses and vendor comparisons to ensure cost-effective operations. Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff. Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred. Over 10 years of hands-on experience in networks. Experience with Cisco Systems, Switching (Layer 2 and 3), Spanning Tree, Routing, InfoBlox DDI, Wireless, Cisco ISE, TCP/UDP/IP Protocols. Knowledge of industrial networking is an asset. Experience with ServiceNow, change management, problem management, and working with network systems, software, and hardware. Other Qualifications : Strong network performance modeling or benchmarking skills. Effective time, priority, and task management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership ability to mentor and guide team members. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills for network design and testing. Confident communication and professional demeanor when dealing with complex issues. Work Environment : Office - 100% on-site in Rockford, IL The compensation for this position ranges from $63,600 to $118,000, influenced by experience and organizational factors.
