Job Summary:
Aalis Management Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability network infrastructure supporting critical personnel and readiness systems. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in DoD network architectures, cybersecurity compliance, and emerging technologies to ensure reliable connectivity for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain secure DoD network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN) supporting personnel systems
Implement and enforce DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles across network environments
Troubleshoot complex network issues across Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto platforms with Tier 3/4 support
Lead network modernization initiatives , including cloud integration (AWS/Azure) and IPv6 transition
Configure and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and QoS policies for voice/video/data convergence
Develop network documentation including topology diagrams, SOPs, and security compliance artifacts
Coordinate with DISA, USCYBERCOM, and service components to ensure interoperability with DoDIN
Support incident response for network-related security events
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, related technical field, Master's degree, or relevant graduate certification preferred.
8+ years of network engineering experience, with 5+ years in DoD environments.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper JunOS, or similar.
Proven experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), load balancers, and IDS/IPS.
Certifications:
DoD 8570 IAT Level III (CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent).
Vendor Certification (CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent)
AWS/Azure Networking Specialty
