Senior Network/Storage Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client located at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.Active TS/SCI w/CI POLY clearance required for this position.SOC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network/Storage Engineer to support a mission-critical federal customer in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. This position requires in-depth experience with Dell enterprise hardware, Dell tools, servers, network-attached storage (NAS), storage area networks (SANs), and VMware virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise-class data center infrastructure in a secure, high-availability environment.During the residency service, Services personnel may perform the following over the duration of the engagement:Assist with architectural planning of deployments of hardware and software across multiple sitesAssist with Documentation and diagram creation of all Dell gearSupport the implementation and development of security suggestion and guidelines and compliance with DISA STIGs of Dell Technologies applicable solutions.Assist with the management of inventory and warranty information with the use of tools such as OME.Dell Data Domain / Data Domain Virtual Edition, and PowerProtect Data Manager knowledgeInstallation and configuration of Dell Power Protect, DataDomain, and DataDomain Virtual Edition (DDVE)Maintenance, patching, and upgrades Dell Power Protect, DataDomain, and DataDomain Virtual Edition (DDVE)Assist with integrations such as VMwareAssist with backup agent installationsPowerProtect Data Manager managementServers Management Maintenance Upgrades / iDRAC / OME / StorageInstallation and configuration of Dell ServersConfiguration of server iDRACMaintenance and upgrades of Dell Servers and IdracTroubleshoot and diagnose Dell Hardware and remediate and if necessary, replace hardwareInstallation, management, and upgrade of Dell Open Manage EnterpriseEnterprise management of firmware for Dell ServersAssist with the packaging of firmware through Repository Manager for use with serversRequired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance with CI PolygraphBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of hands-on experience in network and storage engineering rolesStrong expertise with Dell enterprise products, including servers and Dell storage arraysProficiency in VMware virtualization platforms, such as vSphere, vCenter, and ESXiExperience with SAN/NAS technologies and protocols (e.g., iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, SMB/CIFS)Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions and best practicesExperience working in federal or DoD environments, with knowledge of compliance standards and secure configurationsStrong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Dell or VMware certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Dell EMC Certified)Experience with automation/scripting tools (PowerShell, Python)Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g., VxRail)Knowledge of network infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)Employment Pre-requisitesThe following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, drug urinalysis, and verified compliance with Executive Order 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.SOC, a Day & Zimmermann company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer, EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.Estimated Min Rate: $100.00Estimated Max Rate: $125.00
