Job Description Position Overview: We seek an experienced Sales Engineer to join our Partner team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical sales background, industry expertise, and experience working with WWT. Responsibilities include designing solutions, conducting demos, and supporting sales to drive revenue via the WWT channel.
Responsibilities
Channel Strategy: Understand channel sales, partner ecosystems, and enablement, leveraging existing WWT relationships.
Market Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging tech.
Revenue Focus: Align technical activities with revenue growth goals through the channel.
Value Selling
Use MEDDPPIC methodology effectively.
Deeply understand customer pain points from experience.
Create and utilize M1 and M2 metrics successfully.
Guide prospects towards success criteria.
Communication
Understand the sales cycle and align solutions accordingly.
Communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners.
Negotiate effectively to resolve conflicts and ensure mutual success.
Tools & Technology
Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
Knowledge of sales enablement platforms.
Proficiency with technical tools such as network analysis, cybersecurity, or cloud platforms.
Industry Expertise
Strong knowledge of competitors and skills in de-positioning.
Recognition in the industry through events, certifications, or networks.
Obtain advanced external certifications.
Team Collaboration
Contribute to technical initiatives beyond daily responsibilities.
Mentor peers and contribute to knowledge bases.
Participate quarterly in regional best-practice initiatives.
Work cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
Adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Maintain a customer-focused mindset to meet partner and end-customer needs.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years in technical sales, preferably in a channel or partner environment.
Experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or networking industries.
Experience supporting channel partners, VARs, or distributors.
Deep understanding of company products and solutions.
Ability to design and propose tailored solutions.
Experience in pre-sales engineering, demos, and technical presentations.
Understanding of systems integration and troubleshooting skills.
Expertise in security or industry verticals.
