We are seeking seasoned Senior Principal Software Engineers to lead the innovation, design, and development of state-of-the-art software solutions for our enterprise healthcare systems. This opportunity includes multiple open positions, requiring proficiency in mainframe technologies and modern distributed systems, as well as advanced knowledge of cloud architectures utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. As a pivotal technical leader, you will champion best practices in software engineering, ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of mission-critical applications. Your role will also involve developing proof of concepts to incorporate innovative solutions into our development cycles. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of enterprise solutions utilizing .NET, COBOL, Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and Angular. Define and promote best practices for the integration of new and emerging technologies within the organization. Create and implement POCs with emerging technologies to showcase their potential value. Modernize legacy applications while integrating them with cloud-native solutions and microservices, adhering to top practices in GCP and Azure. Establish DevSecOps pipelines using enterprise tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and various CI/CD instruments. Ensure security, compliance, and optimal performance across software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and realize technical roadmaps. Mentor and train engineers on new tools, technologies, and methodologies, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Qualifications Required: 10+ years of experience in software engineering with expertise in .NET, COBOL, Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and Angular. Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks. 3+ years of experience with GCP and Azure, including cloud-native development and migration strategies. Expertise in enterprise application architecture, API development, and microservices. Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub and Jenkins. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Proactive self-starter with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies. Able to work independently and take initiative to explore innovative solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards. Experience modernizing large-scale mainframe applications. Design and develop COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM applications. Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems (z/OS). Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is $144,200.00 - $288,400.00. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and geography. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, in addition to the base pay range. Equity award program targets also apply.
