New Product Development Product/Test Engineer This position offers a great opportunity to work on industry leading semiconductor devices, targeted for broad applications in Automotive and Industrial markets. In this role, you’ll be a member of New Product Development team, tasked with supporting product lines and business P&Ls on new product development activities, including defining Analog/Digital DfT and test strategies, developing low-cost test solutions for complex Analog, Mixed Signal, and Digital roadmap products on ATE platforms, and productizing ICs in-line with business goals and growth projections. Knowledge and experience with software development using of C++ / C / Python / JAVA is necessary. Candidate should know ATE platform architecture and programming language to develop low level ATE code for Analog / Mix Signal blocks. End goal is to design and productize deep Analog and Mix Signal test automated solutions, enabling organization benchmarks in quality, efficient code, and test-cost goals.
Primary responsibilities will include: Own and drive new product development across various businesses and product lines within the BU. Drive best-in-class DfTs (Analog / Digital BiST solutions) for benchmark Cost-of-Test. Own post-silicon Si bring-up, validation, characterization, and qualification activities and execute to fastest time-to-market. Own entitlement goals for product execution, overall product cost (yields, test-times, multi-sites), and product quality. Define, own, and impact continuous upkeep and maintenance of test program generation utilities and standard test method libraries. Must be able to update / modify existing code with innovation and improvisation focused on efficiency and test-cost reduction. Act as an interface between ATE vendor, BU PE and Design team to define test automation requirements and checklists. Good understanding on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) system architecture (ETS800, T2K, IFlex and able to work with vendor to develop low level automation code. Works closely with Manufacturing, Program Management, Quality and Production to develop technical plans which meet customer requirements, and which support the timely delivery of specification compliant products. Serves as a technical focal point on major projects, hence, may have a high degree of external visibility. Effectively uses broad skill sets to build customer confidence and create a satisfying experience for the customer. Ensures that technical activities are carried out in accordance with well-established and accepted industry standards, all applicable contractual and regulatory requirements and documented internal policies and procedures. Maintains accurate, traceable and legible records of all technical data, including, but not limited to, design configurations, experimental data, comparative analysis results, test equipment designs, test set-ups and procedures. Good IC and test knowledge and background, across digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal, along with knowledge of ATE platforms, DfT strategies and test methods, and test instrumentation requirements for various Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Digital tests is critical. Having additional experience and knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Serdes, LPDDR, CSI/DSI, is considered a plus. Knowledge of high-voltage (>1kV) test requirements is a must. Must have prior hands-on experience working DfT, ATE Test Equipment for IC testing, and good understanding of ATE system architectures.
Requirements: BSEE with minimum 10+ yrs of experience working Product / Test in Analog, Mixed Signal, Digital space. Experience working with ATE platforms. Proficient in multiple ATE software coding languages including but not limited to C/C++, Python, Java. Strong communication and leadership skills, working with cross-functional teams across multiple different internal development and factory sites. Excellent interpersonal skills – energetic, motivated, and self-driven. Demonstrate ability to work well within a global team environment with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills; demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks.
