Must-Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
5+ years of experience designing custom machines from concept to completion using SolidWorks
2+ years of experience in automation, welding processes, and direct customer interaction
Strong understanding of machine tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems
Must be a . citizen or Green Card holder and live within a 45-minute commute of Brown Deer, WI
Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Custom Robotics & Automation Design to join a dynamic, innovation-driven team in Brown Deer, WI. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on seeing their designs come to life—right in the same facility where they’re built. You’ll take ownership of complex automation and robotics projects from concept through production, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical design and development of custom automation and robotic systems
Manage multiple design projects with a focus on quality, timeline, and manufacturability
Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and bills of materials using SolidWorks
Interface directly with customers to understand project goals and ensure satisfaction
Collaborate closely with internal engineering and manufacturing teams
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in design practices and engineering standards
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary up to $90,000, based on experience
