We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Propulsion Engineer to join our team.

The Senior Propulsion Engineer will:
Report to NASA JSC EP4 Branch
Possess extensive knowledge in component and system certification, including the impacts of design and environment on certification
Support national and international customers for Gateway, International Space, visiting vehicles, and Commercial Crew
Have extensive knowledge in designing and developing major elements of ground test and space flight propulsion systems
Write technical and progress reports for various audiences
Resolve unique or complex propulsion subsystem issues
Support flight anomaly resolution and in-flight investigation reviews, solving propulsion questions with limited information
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of related experience; licenses and certifications may be required
Experience with spacecraft propulsion, especially fluid and mechanical systems
Experience in design, assembly, testing, certification, and operation of space propulsion systems
Ability to coordinate requirements verification and validation across organizations
Knowledge of mechanical system design, engineering drawings, material selection, testing, and software
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Ability to discuss propulsion topics confidently with experts
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of related experience
Familiarity with JSC processes and NASA engineering lifecycle
