Senior QA Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing) Evaluate jet engine components for extended repair and teach, train and instruct employees in the art of repair. Oversee technical aspects and evaluate quality issues relative to repair of and service of repaired components. Drive cost of poor quality reduction initiatives.
Minimum/Preferred Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering discipline such as: mechanical, metallurgical, materials, manufacturing or aerospace.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Able to write and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and procedures.
Knowledge of Non-Destructive testing methods used in the repair/manufacturing process.
Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Reduction of process variation and cost of poor quality.
Ensures compliance with Company Management System.
Develop new repairs and/or processes.
Improve existing processes.
Disposition production discrepancies (Material Review Board).
Write and implement quality procedures, manuals, specifications and other technical documents.
Specify equipment and materials.
Instruct employees in ISO standard and company quality procedures.
Customer support technical liaison.
Performing internal quality audits.
Performing external vendor and supplier audits to ISO and other standards.
Prepare cost estimates.
Maintain production standards/quality.
Assist with employee cross training as required.
