Senior RF Engineer, OEM (Sandy, UT - Onsite)

We are seeking a talented and motivated RF Design/Certification Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for designing, testing, certifying and maintaining high volume RF modules. Additionally, the engineer will support adjacent engineering functions and business needs while working in a team environment.
Onsite Location: This position is five days a week in the Sandy, UT office.
What You Will Do
Circuit design, including schematic generation and layout direction. Review module designs and customer implementations. Work closely with software engineers to implement and test product features. Ensuing Digi’s wireless products comply with regulatory standards in many regions across the globe. This role is integrated directly with the full RF development team, ensuring access to the technical knowledge needed to successfully apply for and receive certifications. Validate designs in the lab and generate Python code to automate testing. Writing documentation, assisting production test team and supporting operations team. Who You Are and What You Bring: BSEE or equivalent and 5+ years related work experience Experience with RF test equipment, including RF signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers, oscilloscopes, call boxes and power supplies. Design experience with one or more of the following protocols is desired – 802.15.4 (Zigbee, Wi-SUN), LoRa, 802.11 (Wi-Fi), LTE CAT1/4, LTE-M, NB-IoT. Understanding and expertise expected in the following areas: PAs, LNAs, transceivers and microcontroller-based RF designs. Understanding of RF theory. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting directly with customers and senior personnel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location. The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary offered within the range will depend on various factors including, but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Pay ranges are typically reviewed and updated annually.
