Senior Security Assurance Engineer
GovCIO is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Security Assurance Engineer to enhance our client's System Authorization and Accreditation (SA&A) initiatives. This position offers the flexibility of being fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the remediation of system vulnerabilities and effectively manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
Revise and update security documentation for BIES systems to ensure compliance for obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO).
Collaborate with project teams to gather evidence and address any findings.
Evaluate system security posture and implement remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of information assurance experience (or equivalent experience).
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Must hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
IA baseline certification is required.
Demonstrated expertise in assessing, documenting, and remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
An active Top Secret clearance with the ability to maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.

Salary Range: The expected pay range for this role reflects the guidance for compensation upon hiring. Base pay may differ based on personalized factors, such as market location, skills, education level, and experience. The total compensation package may also encompass other compensation elements discussed during hiring. If selected for this position, employment will be considered “at-will,” and GovCIO reserves the right to modify salary and other compensation programs at any time.
Posted Salary Range: USD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
