Join our dynamic team as a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on Device Management Systems. We are a leading cloud platform solution provider for a range of devices from E-Readers to the Echo family and are expanding to support third-party devices within the Amazon ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Define the long-term technical strategy and architectural vision for device management, using innovative technologies to enhance customer features. Continuously advocate for foundational solutions that enable device businesses to efficiently utilize these services. Ensure data privacy is prioritized in all foundational solutions. Collaborate with device teams to understand customer needs and promote the adoption of new services. Demonstrate expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and best engineering practices. Mentor and assist in the career development of team members, sharing advanced technical knowledge and guiding managerial efforts in team growth. A Day in the Life: Engage with various business teams such as E-Reader, Tablet, Fire-TV, and Alexa. Collect and translate business requirements into software product features. Create technical designs and architectures while ensuring security and privacy for customer data. About the Team: The Device Management Services (DMS) organization is specialized in developing foundational platform solutions that enhance critical customer experiences. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of professional software development experience. 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language. 5+ years of experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems. Experience in mentoring or leading an engineering team. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing.
