We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer (Design Systems) to be part of a leading platform dedicated to creating a global community for positive societal impact. Position Type: Contract | Workplace Type: Remote | Rate: $60 - $70/hr (W2) What You'll Do: Collaborate directly with product designers and engineers to implement features, enhancements, and improvements across the product. Take ownership of front-end development, managing all aspects from start to finish. Build new, reusable components and refine existing ones within our Design System. Create and maintain documentation to guide the entire team. Participate in regular code reviews to share knowledge and deepen understanding of our code base. Mentor fellow developers through chat, pair programming, and team meetings, fostering a collaborative environment. What You’ll Need: 6+ years of experience as a front-end engineer with a focus on Design Systems. Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar frameworks). Experience in publishing shared libraries to NPM or similar platforms. Proficient in developing accessible (WCAG AA) user interfaces. Solid understanding of Responsive Design and mobile-first principles. Skilled in writing and maintaining unit tests. Experience with Git-based version control systems. Ability to research and interpret support documentation from providers like MDN and CanIUse. Familiarity with tools like Figma, Storybook, and Typescript. Why Join Us?
