In this position, you will lead projects, mentor junior developers, and help establish best practices within your team. You'll work closely with business owners and Development Team Leaders to refine project requirements and contribute to the overall process improvement of our software delivery. What You'll Do: Collaborate with team leaders and business stakeholders to clarify project requirements. Assist in managing tasks and project stories to ensure timely delivery. Create detailed design specifications based on project requirements. Develop and code projects adhering to established design standards. Track issues and resolutions during development using JIRA. Ensure the logical stability, reliability, and integrity of Capital One systems in compliance with internal policies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience Preferred Qualifications: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Profile application development (MUMPS and PSL) 4+ years developing banking applications, including financial products and reporting features 2+ years in project management and system design 1+ year experience in Agile methodologies 1+ year experience with SQL and automated testing This role is located at Capital One's Wilmington, DE office, but we welcome remote applicants.
