Senior Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to support the continued development and maintenance of a custom data management tool used for advanced nuclear infrastructure projects. This platform connects critical project data across engineering, construction, and testing workflows, and serves as a central source of truth across stakeholders. You’ll work with a small, fast-moving development team and collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and internal users to evolve the platform’s features, improve performance, and ensure reliability.

Responsibilities: Design, build, test, and maintain software features based on formal requirements.
Refactor and maintain codebase to improve long-term usability and productivity.
Translate feature requests into development tasks and prioritize independently.
Monitor and address performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand system workflows.
Maintain backend data models and frontend interfaces.
Support DevOps functions including Jenkins, testing, deployment, and server maintenance.
Review and provide feedback on code contributions.
Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Qualifications and Skills: 5+ years of experience in full stack web application development.
Strong experience with Python and Django (including Django REST Framework).
Proficient in JavaScript frameworks (Vue3 and Quasar preferred).
Comfortable working in Linux environments; experience with application/database server setup.
Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins and version control (git).
Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly regulated environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in computer science, applied math, or related discipline.
Experience in industrial/construction project support or nuclear-related environments.
Familiarity with NQA-1 development standards.
Estimated Compensation Range: $55.00–$80.00 per hour. All experience levels considered.
