Location: San Rafael, CA (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (3 months minimum)
Compensation: $60-70/hr
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative
Senior Project Software Engineer
to lead the design, development, and delivery of complex, mission-critical software solutions. This role plays a key part in driving strategic initiatives across the organization by building high-performance applications using Microsoft and other modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development & Delivery
Design, build, test, and deploy scalable software applications aligned with project goals and timelines.
Develop and maintain business applications using technologies such as C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML/CSS.
Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
Collaboration & Project Alignment
Work closely with business unit leaders, project managers, Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Technical Analysis & Documentation
Collect and analyze user needs and software requirements.
Create technical diagrams, flowcharts, and documentation for use by developers, analysts, and end users.
Maintain clear and comprehensive application documentation.
System Optimization & Support
Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
Review error logs and support tickets, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
Collaborate with internal and external development teams to enhance and maintain applications.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Certifications
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSD, MCSE) .
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience.
Proven track record in delivering large-scale applications through the full software development lifecycle.
Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of API integrations and cloud-based architecture.
Strong analytical and software design skills.
Expertise in relational databases, including design, stored procedures, and query optimization.
Proficiency in multiple programming and frameworks (e.g., C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, JavaScript, SQL Server).
Ability to interpret and apply complex technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
Pay Details:
$60.00 to $70.00 per hour
