Responsibilities include promoting best practices in infrastructure architecture, providing customer interface support, working on application architecture design, and optimizing deployed applications from a systems perspective. This role involves engineering solutions and managing complex projects through all lifecycle phases, including hardware, firmware, software, analysis, integration, testing, deployment, and ensuring operational readiness for production. You will also provide operational support to testing to ensure maintainability of end-to-end solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Complete configuration, installation, and support of equipment in a Microsoft Windows/Linux environment, including systems and networks running Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, and Linux. Coordinate and implement installation and testing of new security tools/systems. Troubleshoot reported problems and perform root cause analysis to prevent future outages. Maintain software applications, operating systems, and perform regular maintenance. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services according to objectives. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, and team members. Supervise system and server administration to ensure service availability to authorized users. Company: UnitedHealth Group Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Expertise in application maintenance, change management, and applying security patches. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Proficiency with desktop applications. Knowledge of source control systems. High-level support and deployment experience with MS-SQL, PEGA, JAVA, .NET, IIS, TOMCAT. Strong experience with Windows and Linux, including Windows Servers, MS Exchange, VMware, Citrix, antivirus software. Understanding of IIS, connection pooling, WMI, JMX. Experience hosting and scaling Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss) in high availability environments. Familiarity with load balancer hardware and software (F5 BigIP). Experience maintaining systems in load-balanced environments. Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking ability in a small business environment.
