About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our Agile Scrum team focused on delivering custom-built applications and platforms that address complex cybersecurity challenges within a financial services environment. This individual should bring strong expertise in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and be comfortable working across both backend and frontend development. The ideal candidate will not only contribute high-quality, secure, and scalable code but also collaborate closely with product owners, security analysts, and fellow engineers to design solutions that enhance our cybersecurity posture. A strong understanding of secure coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies is essential, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to mentor others and lead technical discussions.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of experience in JavaScript
4+ years of experience in TypeScript
4+ years of experience in Python
4+ years of experience in MongoDB
4+ years of experience in Microservice based frameworks
3+ years of experience in API development
4+ years of experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum routines
Desired Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in AI technologies (MCP, LangChain, LangGraph, LLMs) .

Position Overview: The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom software solutions that address complex cybersecurity challenges in a financial services environment. This individual will work within an Agile Scrum team, collaborating closely with product owners, security analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Development:
Architect and implement backend services and APIs usingPython.
Develop responsive and secure frontend interfaces usingJavaScriptandTypeScript(e.g., React, Angular).
Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
Cybersecurity Integration:
Build tools and platforms that support threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Integrate with security data sources, SIEMs, and other cybersecurity infrastructure.
Agile Collaboration:
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver incremental value.
DevOps & CI/CD:
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (if applicable).
Mentorship & Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
