Roles And Responsibilities

Implement feature enhancements and other changes for a suite of software products marketed to the public safety domain Develop solutions primarily using OpenVMS Macro Assembly. Use of other technologies expected Collaborate with systems engineers to gain understanding of system requirements Implement system requirements to meet user needs Assist with the development of estimates for levels of effort for proposed changes Apply software engineering best practices to ensure software quality

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar field Experience in Public Safety Solutions Experience with computer aided dispatch systems Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in OpenVMS operating system Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience performing software engineering in an Agile environment

Location

Position allows for remote work but working hours are eastern time zone

Some travel will be required to northeast / mid-Atlantic USA

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. 10+ years of experience required.

Additional Provisions

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. All candidates must be a US Citizen Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
