Senior Solutions Engineer, Forensics

Exterro is currently seeking a proactive, organized, and customer-centric Senior Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the revenue of the Exterro platform through both direct customer engagement and with channel partners. You will draw upon your advanced product/solution knowledge and work closely with our Sales team, Channel team, partners, and customers to understand their technical and business challenges and position our portfolio to address customer needs and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate customers, partners, and prospects as to the capabilities and advantages of the Exterro platform through demonstrations, presentations, and technical sessions.
  • Assist sales in the advancement and closure of qualified opportunities by evaluating and communicating customer goals and technical requirements.
  • Be a strategic advisor to your aligned Account Executives to proactively shape approaches to elevate performance and improve customer outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of the use cases, capabilities, features, integrations, and major roadmap elements of Exterro’s products and solutions within your area(s) of product alignment.
  • Provide responses for formal and informal product/technical requests as needed.
  • Identify and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing about opportunities and risks which arise in your customer, partner, and industry interactions.
  • Identify and suggest team or departmental ideas for improvement and participate in organizational efforts for growth, efficiency, and general improvement.
  • Understand relevant competitive solutions, products, and services.
  • Participate and lead customer engagement initiatives at conferences, trade shows, and other events as requested by Management and Product Marketing.
  • Build positive relationships and earn “trusted advisor” status with customers and partners to enable successful customer outcomes.
  • Plan and execute successful Proof of Concept/Proof of Value activities.
  • Join and participate in relevant user groups, communities, etc. to stay abreast of industry developments.

Requirements and Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years sales engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Cybersecurity, IT, and/or Digital Forensics experience
  • One of the following (both preferred):
    1. Strong technical background with expertise in foundational technologies such as cloud platforms, SaaS services, encryption, APIs, networking, AI, data architecture, etc.
    2. Experience designing, deploying, configuring, and performing deep troubleshooting Exterro FTK (Forensics Tool Kit), or similar digital forensics solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required.
  • Relevant Certifications, such as ACE, CISSP, CFCE, CHFI, CIPP, CIPM, ACEDS, EnCE
  • Superior presentation skills, with strong experience managing various audiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with a focus on customer needs and product positioning.
  • Ability to work effectively on a remote basis.
  • An action-oriented individual with a very strong initiative.
  • Availability to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management to advance customer requests.
  • Be a highly motivated, strong team player who is open to new ideas.

As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $120,000- $141,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, flexible paid time off and more.
