We are on the hunt for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to contribute extensively to the development and maintenance of mission planning software that supports aircraft and weapons systems. This full-time position requires an on-site presence, with some travel expected.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is mandatory for this role. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is essential to obtain a clearance.
Requirements:
Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Systems Engineering associated with DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems, covering the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software.
Proven ability to break down requirements into technical system and software specifications.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), coupled with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Assess new capabilities, hardware advancements, and software updates to ensure alignment with system and mission performance requirements.
Create, evaluate, and provide feedback on H-60 software requirements during both development and sustainment phases based on program office guidelines. This includes conducting trade-off studies, engineering approach analyses, system implementation analyses, and performing research to provide actionable recommendations.
Advise on human systems engineering best practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with DOD Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, Systems Software and Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering methodologies, and systems safety & reliability.
Familiarity with Mission Planning Software, DOORS®, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and the agile project development lifecycle.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.
Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, and knowledge, in alignment with our corporate compensation plan. The projected annual compensation range for this role is $115,000.00 - $175,900 (USD), which reflects the standard salary range and is just one component of the comprehensive compensation package offered by SimVentions.
