BAE Systems is looking for a highly motivated, experienced and talented senior Systems Test Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance who will work full-time onsite in a SCIF. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis in Geospatial Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Mission Management. The candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible to: Take ownership of multiple concurrent enterprise test events and other tasks end-to-end to meet mission needs in a timely manner Create enterprise test charts, including: + Test Readiness Review (TRR) + Daily Status + Detailed Check List (DCL) + Test Review Board (TRB) Present test charts and check lists to the customer/enterprise Troubleshoot issues and provide end-user support Deploy software upgrades in a large complex and challenging multi-threaded distributed enterprise-wide Imagery and Geospatial Intelligence System Work independently and as a flexible team player to perform any tasks needed by the program Learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and challenges
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8 to 10+ years working in a technical capacity including software development, systems engineering / test, and/or information technology systems administration Experience and familiarity with Unix and/or Linux Strong team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive and flexible, and to work independently in a dynamic/collaborative environment Excellent oral and written communications skills Must be a self-starter and be able to plan and prioritize tasking, as well as have the ability to multi-task Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team, in a fast-moving environment. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with geospatial data and/or large imagery archive systems Security+ Certified (CompTIA) Software systems administration skills Strong Linux and Networking background Experience deploying and working in Cloud environments such as AWS Understanding of REST and other web services interfaces Scripting and other languages (e.g., sh, csh, bash, ksh, make, imake, UML, XML, HTML, CSS, and/or PERL) Familiar with Oracle database and SQL
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
