Position Title: System Operation Engineer

In the middle of an internal hybrid cloud migration Mix of applications, one set is completely on azure, and mongto DB on the back end Then they are now moving it over to a different PCF to open shift. Not looking for Dev Ops candidates, they aren’t hands on enough. Then their traditional applications is java running on local servers connected to oracle. Some of those applications are less complex major effort, the key skill area is system engineering Need to drive stability in performance engineering. Partner with application team Validate and if there are any production issues they need to troubleshoot. Focus area will be distributed applications and cloud applications Mix of technology of .net and Java mongo DB, SQL as well Some of the applications are on open shift and some are on azure Production support role, system engineering. Day-to-Day: The job is very collaborative with the teams, specifically with the application team Conversation with applications teams, review their changes, very collaborative. Ask a lot of questions to make sure they are doing things right to validate Then they have to see what monitoring and observe what they need in terns of troubleshooting Why things failed, what they can do to prevent it. It can be intense or light depending. This may be they do rotate on call. Must Haves (and how they are used): / Java and .net alternate for both Splunk is the main bread and butter Having proficiency in both scripting is something they are looking for. Splunk is key Cloud they have open shift, that’s where they heading from PCF. Azure as well as their primary cloud provider. Need to have open shift and azure Need to be Extremely hands on. Skill is top priority from a maturity standpoint, plus years would be fine Can they navigate and be hands on Troubleshooting and engineering experience.
