Job Description:
Software Back-End Engineer
Responsibilities
Applies expert knowledge to all phases of the software development lifecycle
Applies expert knowledge to analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design user-centric software systems to meet those needs
Applies expert knowledge to create a wide variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
Applies expert knowledge to software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
Provides expert analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
Provides expert guidance on the software or system for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates
Coaches and provides guidance to less experienced professionals
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in software development
Required Skills
Demonstrable experience creating web apis using lean-agile methods
Expert knowledge in web api technologies such as Flask, Django, or Spring
Expert in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
Expert knowledge in software testing frameworks
Expert knowledge in git
Expert knowledge in containerization and container orchestration such as Kubernetes and Docker
Expert in identity and access management
Expert knowledge of programming patterns
Preferred Skills
Competency with work management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or commensurate level of experience. Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
TESA Accreditation Requirements
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience,

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
