Who Youll Work With
You will be a self-motivated, team-oriented Software Development Engineer involved in product development through manufacturing. Your role involves engaging with Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners, and other teams to build test software for validating high-speed digital designs and achieving high yields in manufacturing Arista Network products.
What Youll Do
The Manufacturing Test team develops test scripts and plans for final system testing of switches, automates testing processes, debugs failures, and supports daily manufacturing operations. You will work from conception to final testing, collaborate with hardware, platform, and software teams, and support customer-specific configurations. Your work will be critical in validating builds and identifying manufacturing defects to improve yield.
Support new product development and drive design for test excellence.
Participate in hardware specification, design, development, and testing.
Develop test scripts using Python and/or Go.
Create web GUI interfaces for production testing and data mining using frameworks like Django and databases like MariaDB.
Develop manufacturing test plans based on hardware specifications.
Manage procurement and release of testing infrastructure.
Design for DFX: DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT.
Perform testing functions for new and existing products.
Lead defect reduction efforts and investigate new test technologies.
Enhance manufacturing testing processes for efficiency, cost savings, and quality.
Improve design verification processes to increase yield and reduce defects.
Document test processes and best practices.
Debug complex system issues and define debugging procedures.
Manage manufacturing test capacity, assets, and budgets.
Provide technical support for systemic defects, line stops, and quality issues.
Maintain test programs and scripts at manufacturing sites.
Qualifications include 2-5+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience, knowledge of object-oriented programming (Python/Go), Linux, networking, version control, and a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Compensation
The salary range is $116,000 to $146,000, with variations based on location, skills, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more. Additional bonuses and equity may be available.
