Shape the future of our managed Kubernetes products You will be part of a team responsible for designing and developing tests, contributing to testing frameworks, and managing test execution pipelines for our portfolio of products, which are designed to build and manage highly scalable Kubernetes infrastructure. We focus on test automation and automated workflows, with an emphasis on integrating testing into CI/CD release pipelines. As a Software Development Engineer in Test II , you will be responsible for: Being a major contributor in developing tests, supporting frameworks and CI/CT/CD pipelines validating Akamai's Cloud Native products Contributing towards building the roadmap and test strategy for enterprise features expected from a Kubernetes-based Platform Validating and testing cloud-native technologies and architectures, including monitoring, troubleshooting and improving test execution pipelines Participating in the definition and adoption of best practices, knowledge sharing and mentoring Collaborating with engineering teams, SDET engineers and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure product quality. Working in an environment that fosters innovative solutions, rapid development cycles, and open communication Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Have experience building and operating or testing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies Have experience leveraging CI/CD tools to achieve good software development practices Be familiar using infrastructure as code tools like Crossplane, Pulumi, Terraform or Ansible. Have experience with Pytest, Selenium, or other test automation and frameworks and comfortability leveraging Python or Bash for scripting Have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for resolving test-related issues in complex platforms Have understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and knowledge of Linux-based operating systems Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
