Software Engineer I The Protected Communication Systems (PCS) Software (SW) Engineering Department has an opportunity for a talented Software Engineer I to join our team. Typical job functions for the Software Engineer I include: This is an onsite role, based out of Largo, Florida. What you will do: Participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile software development techniques and tools to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions. Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, test, and field support. Qualifications you must have: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications we prefer: Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development Methodologies Exposure to Model Driven Development Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded programming, processor/board architecture and design Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other Real time operating systems Experience with C, C++, or JAVA Experience working in a collaborative team environment that requires multi-level communication with other engineering, program, and external stakeholders.
