Software Engineer III, Satellite Test Systems

Join us as a Software Engineer where you will design and develop software for complex satellite and rocket test and measurement systems utilizing Common Off the Shelf (COTS) and custom software tools as well as, perform software engineering best practices to include: design, development, and software/hardware integration.
Location: Although this position does support some teleworking ; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Program in languages such as C, C++, Python etc. • Design, develop, document, test, and debug with NetAcquire Test Equipment and National Instruments (NI) automated test equipment.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP).
• Participate in Configuration Management/Configuration Control efforts.
• Participate in the team's daily standups, testing, and demos.
• Develop unit tests and test procedures to assist in maintaining code coverage.
• Work in a dynamic team environment.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, Python
• 5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
• While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.

• Demonstrated usage of programming languages in a software engineering role. • Implementation of algorithms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to perform software integration and test
development activities . • Experience with full software life cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & test.
