Responsibilities This role will focus on developing scalable web services using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach, leveraging Google Functions (FaaS), with a strong emphasis on Reliability, Redundancy, Scalability, Availability, and Maintainability. This is a multi-year engagement initially focusing on backend development, with future projects planned for frontend development. Technical Resources will be focused on developing solutions supporting WMS 2.0, P44 Outbound services, DOM integrations, and services. Qualifications 10+ years of Enterprise Applications Development experience, particularly in Java, for companies with revenues exceeding $1 billion. Experience with large-scale modernization or greenfield SaaS projects. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Quality Assurance. Strong Java skills, including Java 21 features like streams, functional programming, asynchronous programming with Futures and Virtual Threads, and CompletableFutures. Experience with JDBC, ORM frameworks, and document databases such as MongoDB. Preferred frameworks include Quarkus; Spring is acceptable. Experience with Java microservice architecture, event-driven architecture, API development, and good documentation skills. Understanding of Java design patterns, SDLC practices, Git, and cloud deployment experience. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Kanban methodologies. Nice to Have Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, and MongoDB. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Azure DevOps Pipelines. Soft Skills Ability to adapt to new challenges, manage remote/offshore teams, train and mentor new developers, and design robust systems.
