We're looking for a Software Engineer to join us to work on a big bet for Microsoft, Azure. If you are passionate about cloud computing and work with services using leading technologies, and you want to play a role in the design of mission critical features for Azure, then we have a tremendous opportunity for you.
Incident Management (IcM) is a mission critical service in Azure CXP. It is the One Incident Management System for all Microsoft services, the cornerstone of our efforts to enable every Microsoft service team to efficiently manage incidents and keep services healthy.
IcM is looking for a Software Engineer who loves technological challenges and problem solving, is excited about online services, cloud computing, data processing and AI, and is passionate about making better software while continuously improving the development process. We need an engineer who is a self-starter and likes to learn every day. As a member of our team, you will participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle - from initial research and discovery, quick iteration on promising concepts, solution prototyping, designing, and delivering features end to end - including system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance, and quality, all the way through successful service rollout and live site support. You will have ample opportunities and scope to demonstrate your technical abilities.
Responsibilities
Designs, develops, tests, operates, and maintains services for Microsoft Incident Response and Management.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, design, test and ship new features.
Ensures and improves the engineering fundamentals of the services and applications, including security, reliability, performance, compliance, accessibility, etc.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, C#, Java, or Python,
OR equivalent experience.
Academic or professional experience with C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
A proven track record of shipping high quality products or services.
Experience building and shipping distributed web services.
1+ years of development experience.
Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.).
Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
