Software Engineer – Real-Time Systems and Simulation
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team! This role will play a critical part in the design, development, integration, and maintenance of real-time software applications used in high-quality simulation systems that support real-world training environments.
Location: Suwanee, GA
Job Type: Full Time, Temp-Hire
This assignment is temp to permanent and conversion is offered based on performance, attendance, and behavior.
Hours: 9am-6pm Monday-Friday  (tentative schedule)
No overtime offered while on temp to perm assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide extensive expertise in the development of complex software systems.
Perform software design, development, testing, integration, and documentation
Contribute to the design and development of real-time applications.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams to implement technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices.
Investigate and resolve software defects and performance issues.
Maintain existing software, implementing enhancements as required.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of professional experience was a software developer.
Proficient in C++ development within a Windows environment.
Experience with source control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.
Demonstrated experience in software design, integration, and testing.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Experience:
Working with High Level Architecture (HLA), FOM, SOM, and RTI.
Experience with VBS4 application.
Familiarity with OGC CDB standard and OpenFlight format.
Background in developing or working with simulation optimization.
Experience with network programming.
Creating and documenting software interfaces.
Experience with Agile development process.
Proficiency in Atlassian tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
