The successful candidate with be responsible for the following: Conducts software system safety evaluations for DoD systems Supports software system requirements identification and development process by evaluating and assessing planning, design, development, production and operations for DoD software systems architectures Prepares and writes formal Systems Safety Hazard Analysis Reports to categorize and summarize all potential software-hardware interaction hazards Performs software safety-critical and mission-critical systems analysis throughout the life cycle from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to maintain successful daily interaction with customer and teammates Operates proactively with ability to handle significant responsibility, and attention to detail. Required Qualifications: ABET accredited STEM BS Experience developing embedded mission critical software in C, C++, or ADA Familiarity with software development/lifecycle IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498 Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and/or Failure Mode, Effects & Critically Analysis (FMECA) Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516, DO-178, MIL-STD-882, JSSSEH, AMCOM Regulation 385-17, SAE ARP 4761, or similar software safety standards Knowledge of the integration and verification of large systems Active Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis Experience with Model Based Software Development Familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink, Rhapsody, DOORS, SCADE, etc. Please Note: US Citizenship is required Qualified candidates should apply online at .
