We seek a highly motivated and technically qualified individual to join our Solutions Engineering Team. The Solutions Engineer assists our customers in solving real-world problems utilizing SOLiD's broad portfolio of products and services. The position primarily focuses on the South Central region but assists in other areas as needed. This position is critical to the company's long-term success as our customers request increased leadership and accountability associated with delivering our solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering, this position is a key contributor to SOLiD's continued growth and success. Duties will include the following:

Responsibilities

During customer engagements, provide technical expertise to SOLiD's Regional Sales and Business Development teams.

Lead construction feasibility discussions, evaluate infrastructure requirements, and conduct site walks.

Generate, Review, and approve ROMs, BOMs, and designs in support of SOLiD Customers.

Develop and present technical material and perform product demonstrations.

Become the Subject Matter Expert on all SOLiD product lines for real-world applications.

Define and educate customers on SOLiD's best practices for all DAS solutions.

Represent SOLiD at Conferences, Trade Shows, and Industry Meetings as needed.

Establish and nourish relationships with all major wireless carriers and Third-Party Owners.

Provide RFP technical response support by emphasizing SOLiD's value in the solution.

Collaborate with all personnel to enhance and promote the team's technical knowledge base.

Develop application notes and white papers on key technical topics.

Provide customer feedback to Product Management and R&D regarding existing and future product requirements.

Maintain competitive positioning intelligence in the DAS market.

Assist the training department by providing technical input on the material.

Deliver training to clients as needed.

Assist the marketing department by providing technical input on marketing material.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or equivalent working experience

Ability to use basic office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD

Ability to use RF design tools such as iBwave with an intimate knowledge of propagation modeling and inherent challenges

Excellent customer interface skills working with Wireless Services providers and Enterprise customers.

Excellent presentation and professional written communication skills

Intimate working knowledge of relevant technologies, including LTE and NR in all commercial cellular bands

Experience implementing public safety and two-way radio systems using VHF, UHF, 700, 800, and 900 MHz frequency bands

Ability to apply logarithmic RF math concepts to perform power link budget calculations

Ability to use basic RF and standard cellular network tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, scanners, and engineering mobiles to address and resolve customer problems

Knowledge of available products and emerging industry standards
