Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure, the Solutions Engineer will be proactive and hands-on, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions with a focus on networking, virtualization, automation, and physical hardware support. This role involves close collaboration with IT, software engineering, and cross-functional teams.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain virtual, physical, and cloud-based server infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve system issues and provide root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Oversee daily operations in virtual environments, networking, storage, and cloud resources
  • Perform data center tasks including rack and stack of servers, cabling, diagnostics and vendor coordination.
  • Deploy and manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, and vSphere Distributed Networking.
  • Respond to user requests and deliver requested system resources timely and efficiently.
  • Communicate with users on status and resolution of issues; Follow-up with users to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Support monthly patching and software updates (business and after hours).
  • Maintain and administer data protection solutions including backups and archives (on premise and on the cloud).
  • Apply security best practices and enforce least privilege principles.
  • Exhibit strong understanding of fundamentals including scripting, networking, OSI layers, storage (NAS/SAN/RAID), VMWare vSphere
  • Build re-usable scripts to automate repetitive tasks and reporting.
  • Research and recommend new technologies.
  • Collaborate with help desk, developers and IT teams on creative solutions.


Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems technology.
  • 3+ years in systems/network administration or solutions engineering.
  • Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Windows Server, WSUS, Active Directory, AD Group Policy, Microsoft Entra
  • VMWare Virtual Center, ESXi, vSphere
  • Cisco CLI, PowerShell scripting
  • Certifications
  • VMware VCP or equivalent hands-on VMWare experience
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent hands-on networking experience
  • Candidates with strong experience but lacking formal certification in one area are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with:
  • Dell Servers and Storage
  • Managing resources on AWS / Azure
  • Switches, routers, and/or firewalls
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent display of professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects


Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Familiar with Disaster Recovery testing
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup and Replication
  • Exposure to enterprise security tools and practices


This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA which requires weekly attendance.
