Splunk Resident Engineer Entelligence is seeking a Splunk Resident Engineer to support Splunk's clients. The successful candidate must be able to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with representatives from Entelligence, Splunk and the end-user.
The Splunk Resident Engineerwill function as the Splunk products Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will interact directly with the customer's personnel. The SRE will serve as the technical expert on executive-level project teams within the customer providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives. The SRE contributes to the development of new principles and concepts, works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
This position  requires a current active Top-Secret Clearance  (will sponsor getting a CI Poly) and will require a US Government background check. As a result, US citizenship is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive projects alongside our SMEs to solve complex problems for our most strategic customers. Take responsibility for the delivery of projects within the constraints of schedule, scope, features/functionality, and budget. Monitor and report on all aspects of your projects including progress, project profitability, forecasted hours, risks, communications and customer concerns. Work with the Resource Managers to ensure that your projects have the best people with the right skills and at the right time. Contribute to and lead the development and maintenance of Splunk standards, processes, and practices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with Option of Sponsorship of Poly. 5+ years of relevant experience with implementing Splunk products with a track record of on-schedule delivery. Practical understanding of cloud-centric architectures and services Experience in customer facing, problem solving positions. An understanding of ITSI, SIEM, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), and Splunk Cloud. (Ideally Splunk migration) Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. Basic project management skills are required.
