Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: Our Autonomous Maritime Platforms engineering team has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer with a concentration in Integration, Test, & Evaluation of complex innovative systems. We are looking for a leader to guide and champion a mission critical program through system level verification and operational testing to satisfy requirements and deliver capability to our nation’s military. You will be joining a highly skilled cross functional team responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of the next generation advanced autonomous systems. What you’ll experience: Lead the Charge: Develop and execute a test strategy that requires strategic thinking, dynamic problem solving, and long term vision Inspire Teams : Lead and mentor large, complex teams and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Drive Performance: Champion program progress, implement corrective actions swiftly, and communicate effectively to ensure all targets are met. Resource for Success: Identify, manage, and allocate essential test resources including personnel and equipment to meet major program milestones. What you bring to the table: Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Engineering Foundation: Strong background in the Systems engineer process, concepts, and principles. Undersea experience is preferred. Domain Proficiency: Experienced in System / Sub-System Integration, Validation & Verification Test Planning; Experience as Test Director/Lead. Leadership : Proven experience leading teams of cross discipline engineers through large scale systems, building relationships, and leading through change. Resource Management : Managing engineering resources ( tasks assignments, capital equipment, etc.), organizational interfaces, scope, special test equipment, etc. Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven communication with the ability to interface and build relationships with internal and customer leadership. What sets you apart: Advanced knowledge of test principles, theories and concepts. Experience planning, coordinating, and executing large system level test activities.
