Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with our DevOps and software engineering teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and automated solutions in AWS using Python and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
Location: Hybrid role in one of our offices in Raleigh, NC, Hartford, CT, Lafayette, LA or Philly l Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native applications using Python on AWS. - Develop serverless solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and other services. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. - Integrate CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or alternatives like Jenkins or GitHub Actions. - Perform Prompt Engineering on GenAI tools. - Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud security, cost optimization, and monitoring. - Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and ECS/EKS. - Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python code. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address architecture, security, and performance requirements. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the must have skills. Candidate should be very familiar with advanced concepts and have relevant, hands-on experience in many of the following areas to be a successful contributor on the team:
Required: Strong proficiency in Python with real-world project experience. Experience in Spring-boot applications Familiarity / Exposure to Prompt engineering. Deep knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation). Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Understanding of networking concepts, security groups, VPCs, and API management. Proficient with version control tools like Git. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot distributed systems. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
