The team and role Logitech for business is looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to join the Audio Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be driving new product innovations to market, creating and maintaining the software that realizes the excellent performance and quality of Logitech's Video Collaboration devices. In this role you will: Work with the firmware engineering team to create and maintain the infrastructure that realizes the new audio algorithms in Video Collaboration systems Drive the realization of new products and platforms, acting as a DRI from conception to market release. Collaborate across the wider audio team, hardware, and software platforms, realize given requirements and provide technical guidance and support in implementing new technology stacks and features. Be a proactive team player, conducting code reviews, and providing feedback and debug assistance across all audio teams. Implement/debug and maintain new audio over network features, such as IP and AVB. Lead initiatives for tools and protocols that empower teams and workflows. Be comfortable working in a global team setting that operates in remote and hybrid setups. Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on low level software/firmware development (including low level) Ability to work independently within the firmware team, representing projects and areas of expertise when needed. Worked/Understanding the latest development methodologies such as CI/CD, and related tools (e.g., Jenkins) Experienced in one or more of the following areas is required: Advanced C/C++, in environments such as Linux, Android, or bare-metal Alsa / Aaudio / HAL level knowledge Android build system knowledge Scripting language knowledge (Bash) Writing multithreaded code C / C++ Unit Testing Debugging complex realtime systems Preferred Qualifications Dev/Ops experience Scrum / Agile Experience Qualcomm audio stack Node/Javascript TSN/AVB/Qos networking knowledge Experience in Audio Software Development / DSP or Audio ML Familiar with tools such as Yocto, Gerrit / Git, Jira Understanding Security Enhanced (SE) Linux Compensation: This position offers an annual base salary typically between $116,000 and $170,000 in the US. In certain circumstances, higher compensation will be considered based on the business need, candidate experience, and skills. Location: This position can be based either in San Jose, California or UK (Windsor or London) or Krakow (Poland)
